Stage Description
The Via Turonensis, in its variant from Tours, begins by following the course of the Indre River. This first stage is an enjoyable stroll that allows for a peaceful departure from the city. The route is flat and takes place through a riverbank and forest landscape. Arrival at Montbazon, a town dominated by the imposing tower of its former castle, is a charming end to the stage. It's a day to enjoy nature and history along the river.
The first stage of the Via Turonensis from Tours is a 16km journey that follows the course of the Indre River. The path starts in Tours (50m) and follows a mainly flat profile with a gentle ascent towards Montbazon (90m).
