The Poggio Bustone to Piediluco stage is a 22.9 km journey that crosses the Reatine Mountains. The route starts in Poggio Bustone (818 m) and faces a high mountain profile, with continuous ascents exceeding 1,100 meters of altitude. The route traverses an impressive landscape, with dense forests, deep valleys, and panoramic views lost in the horizon. It is a very solitary journey that requires excellent physical preparation and good planning. The wild beauty of the surroundings is the great reward for effort. After conquering the pass, it begins a long descent to Piediluco Lake (375 m). This lake, of glacial origin and calm waters, is an oasis of peace and beauty.
