Stage Description
Long stage (32 km) of the coastal variant of Lugo, which follows the line of the Cantabrian Sea through A Mariña. The route alternates coastal paths with rural stretches, crossing traditional fishing villages and creek mouths. The ancient tradition of hake and barnacle fishing continues to mark the identity of the region. Fazouro is a parish in the municipality of Foz with stone houses and a castro castreño nearby.
The Tui to Redondela stage is a 32km long journey that ventures into Galicia. The route starts in Tui (20m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle overall descent towards Redondela (10m). The route traverses a beautiful landscape, with interior sections and spectacular views of the Vigo estuary. It's a demanding walk due to its length, but it rewards with the beauty of its scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. The arrival in Redondela, the town of viaducts, is an end stage with charm. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Portuguese Way.
