After the effort of the previous stage, the road descends gently to Gubbio, one of Italy's most spectacular medieval cities. It is a moderate distance and favorable profile that allows for the anticipation of arrival. Gubbio, with its Palace of Consuls, its Cathedral and its funicular to Monte Ingino, is a monumental final stage. It is a stage that combines the tranquility of the countryside with the majesty of one of Umbria's jewels.
The stage from San Pietro in Vigneto to Gubbio is a 16.3 km journey that gently descends into one of Italy's most spectacular cities. The route starts at San Pietro in Vigneto (550 m) and follows a predominantly descending profile, with some undulations, until the city of Gubbio (522 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with oak and beech forests, offering panoramic views of the valley. It's a peaceful and easy walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive in time to explore the destination city.
