Stage Description

Leaving behind the monastery's peace, this stage enters the Arlanza region. The profile is a continuous rise and fall through a landscape of fir trees and canyons. It is a day of great beauty and solitude that crosses the Yecla Pass. Arrival in Mecerreyes, a town with great charm and strong Jacobean tradition, offers well-deserved rest in the heart of Burgos Province.
This is one of the most beautiful and spiritual stages of the Wool Road. The route crosses the Yecla Gorge, a narrow gorge carved into the rock. It's a day of great natural beauty and solitude. Arrival in Mecerreyes, a charming town with a strong Jacobean tradition, is an authentic final stage. This stage combines a great physical challenge with the beauty of nature.
