Stage of the Camino

Stage Description

This is a short and beautiful stage that enters a landscape of valleys and ravines. The profile is a continuous rise and fall. The route passes through a natural environment of great value. The destination is Olmeda de las Fuentes, one of the most charming villages in the Community of Madrid. Known as "the village of painters", its white houses, stepped on the slope of a valley, create an unforgettable image. It's a bohemian and artistic stop on the Camino.
The stage between Nuevo Baztán and Olmeda de las Fuentes is a short but exceptionally beautiful landscape journey. The road leaves the plain to venture into a land of valleys and ravines, of great geological value. The profile is a continuous "rocky terrain", with demanding ups and downs. The destination is Olmeda de las Fuentes, a village that charms at first sight. Known as the "village of artists", it has been a refuge for numerous painters and writers since the 60s. Its whitewashed houses, which seem to hang from the slope, and its narrow and steep streets create a bohemian and very special atmosphere. Walking through its corners is to discover a magical place. It's a perfect final stage for art lovers, nature enthusiasts, and villages with charm.
