This stage departs from the river to venture into the region of Gascony's Landes. The route is long and demanding, with a wavy profile and a landscape of pine forests and fields of cultivation. It's a journey to enjoy nature and solitude on the road. Arrival in Bazas, a city with an impressive Gothic cathedral, UNESCO World Heritage Site, marks a monumental end to the stage. This stage requires good physical preparation but rewards with a first-class destination.
The La Réole to Bazas stage is a 32 km long journey that ventures into the Landes of Gascony region. The route starts in La Réole (15 m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent towards Bazas (80 m). The route traverses a beautiful landscape, with pine forests and agricultural fields. It's a demanding hike due to its length, but it rewards with the beauty of its scenery and the monumental nature of the destination. Arrival in Bazas is a moment of great excitement.
