Sahagún is a village of immense historical and artistic importance. It is the birthplace of Mudéjar art, its churches of San Tirso and San Lorenzo are two masterpieces. The ruins of the Monastery of St. Benedict, one of the most powerful of Christendom, and the Pilgrim Sanctuary complete an exceptional heritage.
