Stage Description
The first stage of the Fisterra and Muxía Way is a pleasant walk that moves away from monumental Santiago. The route is a continuous up-and-down through rural Galicia. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of Galician countryside. Arrival in Negreira, a village with a pazo and a medieval bridge, is an end-of-stage finale with charm. It's a transition day, marking the beginning of the epilogue of the Way.
The first stage of the Fisterra and Muxía Way is a 21 km journey that moves away from monumental Santiago. The path starts in Santiago de Compostela (260 m) and follows a mainly descending profile, with some undulations, until the town of Negreira (100 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests and meadows. It's a quiet and easy walk, allowing you to enjoy the scenery and arrive on time to explore the destination town. Negreira, a village with a pazo and a medieval bridge, is a charming final stage.
