Stage Description

This stage enters the Southeast Regional Park, a natural space of great value. The route follows the valleys of the Jarama and Manzanares rivers in a flat terrain of great beauty. The path runs through a landscape of riverine wetlands, lagoons, and limestone cuts. It is a day to enjoy nature and birdwatching. Arrival at La Poveda, a neighborhood of Arganda del Rey, offers a tranquil final stage in a privileged natural setting.
The stage that links Rivas-Vaciamadrid with La Poveda is an immersion in the Southeast Madrid Regional Park. The path is completely flat and runs through a landscape of great ecological value. The route follows the valleys of the Jarama and Manzanares rivers, through a environment of floodplain meadows, lagoons, and limestone cuts. It's a paradise for birdwatchers, as the area hosts a great diversity of aquatic birds. It's a stage for walking without hurry, enjoying nature at the gates of the big city.
