Stage Description
Long and magical stage that culminates in one of the most spectacular natural enclaves of the peninsula: the Natural Park of the Lagunas de Ruidera, a set of fifteen chained lagoons of turquoise waters formed by calcareous tuff barriers on the upper course of the Guadiana River. The almost 39 km cross the Campo de Montiel, Cervantes' scenery par excellence, with vineyards and cereal fields dotted with windmills. A day of great scenic beauty and a mandatory rest at the foot of the lagoons, where it is recommended to take time to explore the surroundings.
