Alcazarén

Alcazarén is a quiet municipality in the province of Valladolid, nestled in the Tierra de Pinares region. For pilgrims following the Jacobean routes in the area, such as the Camino de Madrid, it represents a peaceful stop in an authentic rural setting. The landscape is dominated by pine forests that offer pleasant stretches of shade along the way. The locality has the Mudéjar church of Saint James Apostle and the church of Saint Peter. Despite being a small town, it offers basic services for rest and refreshment, allowing the walker to enjoy the calmness of rural Castile and the hospitality of its people before continuing their journey northwards.
