Stage Description

This stage marks the transition from the province of Segovia to Valladolid. The road continues to flow through the Land of Pines, on a flat terrain and without difficulties. The route traverses extensive pine forests, offering an agreeable and shaded landscape. It is a transitional day that enters the Vallisoletan plateau. Arrival in Alcazarén, a small town with a rich Mudéjar heritage, offers a peaceful end to the stage with great historical flavor.
The stage that joins Coca with Alcazarén is a transition day that takes the pilgrim from Segovia province to Valladolid province. The landscape remains dominated by the extensive pine forests of the region, in a completely flat profile. The path advances through forest roads and rural roads, in an environment of great tranquility. It passes through the locality of Villeguillo, the last Segovian town on the route. After crossing the provincial border, the landscape opens up a bit more, although the pines remain constant. Arrival at Alcazarén marks the end of the day. This small Valladolid town has an interesting heritage, highlighting its two Mudéjar-style churches: that of Santiago and that of San Pedro. Its calm atmosphere and hospitality offer a well-deserved rest to the pilgrim. It is a stage for enjoying nature and the peace of the Meseta castellana.
