Discover Barracas

Barracas is a small municipality in the province of Castellón, located at almost 1,000 meters above sea level. For pilgrims on the Levant Way, it's one of the last stops in Valencia, an uphill stage with harsh weather and high-altitude landscape. The village, of rural character, offers total tranquility, ideal for a restorative break. Its main attractions are its natural surroundings and parish church. Although its services are basic, Barracas is a necessary support point on one of the most solitary and demanding stages of the route, allowing the hiker to acclimate to altitude and prepare for entry into Aragon.
