Combra, the former capital of Portugal in the Middle Ages, is one of the most emblematic and culturally vibrant stops on the Portuguese Way. The city, majestically rising above the Mondego River, is dominated by its prestigious University, one of Europe's oldest and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
