Discover Cernache

Cernache is a Portuguese civil parish located at the gates of the great city of Coimbra. For the pilgrim on the Portuguese Way, it represents the last stop in a rural setting before entering the urban bustle. The locality, of a peaceful character, allows for a quiet rest and preparation for a visit to one of the most important cities on the route. Its landscape is transitional, with fields and forests that announce the proximity of the Mondego River. It's a functional stage that allows arriving in Coimbra early enough to enjoy its immense heritage. A final breath of calm before the monumental university city.
