Discover Deba

Deba is a Guipuzcoan coastal village that marks an important point on the Camino del Norte. Situated at the mouth of the river bearing its name, it offers the pilgrim a beautiful beach and a pleasant coastal atmosphere. The locality is also one of the entrances to the Costa Vasca Geopark, a spectacular stretch of coastline where you can observe the phenomenon of "flysch", layers of rock strata that penetrate into the sea. The church of Saint Mary, with its Gothic portal and cloister, is the main monument of its urban core. Deba is an ideal stop to combine rest on the beach with exploration of a unique geological landscape in the world.
