Discover Orito

Orito is a small hamlet of the municipality of Monforte del Cid that has become an important pilgrimage center. It is a starting point or key first stop on the South Way Pilgrimage. Its fame is due to the Sanctuary and the Cave of Saint Pascual Bailón, a place of great popular devotion to which thousands of faithful come. For the pilgrim, it is a station of deep spiritual impact, a place for prayer and to gather strength for the long journey. The surroundings, low mountainous terrain and dry climate, are characteristic of the Alicante interior. It is an stage to connect with popular faith and begin the pilgrimage with a renewed spirit.
