Situated over 1,100 meters above sea level, at the foothills of the Sierra de Javalambre, it offers pilgrims a mountain landscape and fresh climate. The town, crossed by the Mudéjar highway, is an important centre for services, with good accommodation options and restaurants, famous for its ham dryers. Its parish church is a notable 16th-century building. It's an ideal stage for a restorative stop and acclimatization to altitude before arriving at the capital, Teruel.
