Torremejía

Torremejía is a small locality in the province of Badajoz, a functional and tranquil stop on the Via de la Plata. For pilgrims, its main strategic value is being the precursor to the monumental Mérida, which is just a few kilometers away. The village, with an agricultural character, offers a rural atmosphere and basic services for a final stage, allowing pilgrims to reach Mérida the next morning with time to explore its immense Roman heritage.
