Stage of the Camino

Stage Description

This is one of the longest and most difficult stages of the route, a journey across the vast Manchegan plain. The profile is completely flat, but the distance and monotony of the landscape make it a mental challenge. The route crosses a sea of vineyards. Arrival in La Roda, famous for its "miguelitos" (hojaldre pastries), is the sweet reward after a day of great effort.
The stage that unites Albacete with La Roda is one of the longest and most demanding stages on the Levante Way. The profile is completely flat, but the distance and monotony of the landscape make it a true challenge. The route runs along dirt tracks that cross a sea of vineyards, the predominant crop in this area of La Mancha. It's an epoch of great solitude, ideal for introspection. Arrival in La Roda is relief and a sweet reward. This town is famous throughout Spain for its "miguelitos", delicious pastry made from hojaldre and cream that no pilgrim should miss. La Roda has all the necessary services to recover after such a hard day.
