Stage of the Camino

Stage Description

This is a short and descending profile stage that leads the pilgrim to the capital of the province. It's an enjoyable walk that becomes increasingly urban in its final stretch. The arrival at Albacete, a modern and dynamic city, offers the pilgrim all the necessary services for a good rest. Its cathedral, museum, and lively atmosphere make it a very comfortable stop.
The stage between Chinchilla of Montearagón and Albacete is a short and very favorable profile. It's an enjoyable walk that gently descends from the hill of Chinchilla to the plain where Albacete sits. The road becomes increasingly urban. Arrival in Albacete, the largest city in Castile-La Mancha, marks the end of the stage. It's a modern and functional city with a great range of services. Its Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, the Museum of Albacete, and the Lodares Passage, a beautiful modernist commercial gallery, are its main attractions. It is a very comfortable stop for pilgrims.
