The stage that connects Vitoria-Gasteiz with La Puebla de Arganzón is a medium mountain stage that crosses the Vitoria Mountains. The departure from the city is long, but once in open country, the road begins to ascend. The route runs through forest tracks and paths that traverse oak and beech forests. It's a beautiful landscape stage, ideal for nature lovers. Once past the mountain zone, the road descends towards the Treviño County, an enclave of the Burgos province within Álava, an administrative curiosity. Arrival in La Puebla de Arganzón, a medieval village, is the end of the stage. Its old town preserves remnants of the wall, the church of Our Lady of the Assumption and a medieval bridge over the Zadorra River. It's a quiet place with great historical flavor, perfect for the pilgrim's rest.
