This stage is one of the most iconic on the French Way. The ascent to Alto del Perdón, with its famous monument to pilgrims, offers spectacular views. It's a day of great beauty and symbolism. Arrival at Puente la Reina, where the Aragonese and Navarran Ways meet, is a very special moment. Its Romanesque bridge is one of the icons of the Way. This stage combines the effort of the climb with the reward of a unique landscape and heritage.
The stage from Pamplona to Puente la Reina is one of the most iconic parts of the French Way, a 24km journey that includes an ascent to the Alto del Perdón. The path starts in Pamplona (450m) and follows an ascending profile, with the climb to the Alto del Perdón as the main challenge. The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with panoramic views of the Pamplona basin. It is an demanding walk that requires good physical preparation. Arrival at Puente la Reina (350m), where the Aragonese and Navarran paths meet, is a very special moment. Its Romanesque bridge is one of the icons of the Way.
