Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
A stage that leaves Bordeaux heading south, entering the Landes Forest, the largest man-made forest in Europe (planted in the 19th century to stabilise the dunes). The roughly 33 km are flat, crossing maritime pine forests worked for resin. Le Barp is a small town in the Gironde, already well inside the Parc Naturel Régional des Landes de Gascogne.
