Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
Cycle-touring stage through the dehesa of Cáceres towards the Roman site of Cáparra. Its 55 km or so cross the district of the Valle del Alagón with its dehesas, holm oak woods and cereal fields. The destination is one of the most singular Roman sites on the Vía de la Plata: the tetrapylum arch of Cáparra (Roman Capera), a former mansio on the Iter ab Emerita Asturicam road.
