This stage enters the heart of Palentina Natural Park. The profile is a gentle ascent following the valley of the Pisuerga River. The destination is San Salvador de Cantamuda, a small town that hosts the Colegiata of San Salvador, one of Palentina's Romanesque jewels. It's an end to stage of great artistic and spiritual value, in an environment of absolute peace.
The stage between Cervera de Pisuerga and San Salvador de Cantamuda is a spectacular journey through the Palentine Mountain Natural Park. The road ascends the valley of the Pisuerga River, with a gentle but continuous climb. The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful, with the high peaks of the Cantabrian Mountains as a backdrop.
