Stage Description
Final stage of the Camino del Ebro to the Aragonese capital. The approximately 18 km border the Ebro River until entering Zaragoza through the historic center, with views of the majestic Basilica del Pilar (one of the main Marian shrines in the world) and the Cathedral of the Savior (La Seo, World Heritage Site). Zaragoza, historical capital of the ancient kingdom of Aragon, offers a rich Mudejar and Roman heritage (Caesaraugusta).
This stage enters the province of Lugo, leaving the coast to climb into the mountains. The profile is very demanding, with a strong and prolonged ascent. The landscape changes radically, and the sea gives way to forests and valleys in the interior of Galicia. It's a day of great beauty and difficulty. Arrival at Lourenzá, a village with an impressive Baroque monastery, offers well-deserved rest after the effort of the mountain.
