The final stage. Emotion is the protagonist of this journey. The path crosses the last forests before reaching Mount Gozo, from where one sees the cathedral of Santiago for the first time. The entrance to the city, the arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro and the hug of the Apostle are the end of a long adventure. It's a journey to savor every step, for joy and reflection. The end of the Camino, the beginning of a new stage.
The last stage of the Camino Francés is a 20-kilometer journey that ends in Santiago de Compostela. The path starts at O Pedrouzo (290 m) and follows a largely flat profile, with a gentle descent towards Santiago (260 m). The route passes through the last forests before reaching Mount Gozo, from where you see the cathedral of Santiago for the first time.
