Stage Description
A coastal stage in Lugo of about 18 km, a gentle day of great scenic beauty along the Atlantic coast of A Mariña. The route skirts coves, dunes and beaches such as Arealonga, with continuous views of the Farallóns Islands. San Cibrao is one of the most characteristic fishing villages of the coast of Lugo, a former whaling port and today famous for primary aluminum, Punta Atalaia and the old town of whitewashed houses.
The stage from Redondela to Pontevedra is a short 18-kilometer journey that brings the pilgrim to the monumental city of Pontevedra. The path starts in Redondela (10 m) and follows an undulating profile, with a gentle ascent towards Pontevedra (20 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with forests and fields of cultivation. It is a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and arrive on time to explore the destination city. The arrival in Pontevedra, with its impressive old town and Peregrina sanctuary, is a spectacular finale. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical experience, a perfect balance on the Portuguese Way.
