The final stage of the Camino de Uclés is a heavily symbolic day. The path runs through a terrain of gentle undulations, across a landscape of cultivated fields. As one advances, the imposing silhouette of the Monastery of Uclés grows in the horizon, serving as a beacon to the pilgrim. Arrival at Uclés is the culmination point of the pilgrimage. The village is dominated by its impressive monastery, which was the main house of the Order of Santiago. Its architecture, which blends Renaissance and Baroque styles, and its imposing presence atop a hill, have earned it the nickname "El Escorial de La Mancha". It's a final stage loaded with history and spirituality.
