This stage continues over the Manchegan plain. The profile is flat but the journey is long. The landscape remains dominated by fields of cultivation. The destination is Chinchilla de Montearagón, one of the most monumental villages in Castile-La Mancha. Its castle, its Main Square and its cave houses make it a stop of exceptional historical and artistic value.
The stage that unites Higueruela with Chinchilla of Montearagón is a long journey across the Manchegan plain. The profile is flat, but the distance makes it a challenge. The landscape remains that of infinite horizons of the tableland. Arrival in Chinchilla of Montearagón is the day's great prize. This village, declared Historic-Artistic Ensemble, is situated at the top of a hill and dominated by its impressive castle. Its Baroque Plaza Mayor is one of the most beautiful in the region. Its churches, convents, and curious cave houses complete an exceptional heritage. It is a compulsory stop on the Levante Route.
