Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This is a short and gentle stage that brings the pilgrim to the capital of Campoo's comarca. The route is an enjoyable stroll through a landscape of meadows and riverbank forests. Arrival in Reinosa, situated at the source of the Ebro River and an important service center, offers a comfortable final stage with great mountain atmosphere.
The stage between Olea and Reinosa is a short and very favorable profile, serving as an approach to the capital of the Campoo-Los Valles region. The route runs through a terrain of gentle undulations, through a landscape of green meadows and river forests. Arrival in Reinosa marks the end of the stage. This village, located over 800 meters above sea level, is known for being one of Spain's coldest places in winter. Its old town preserves blazoned houses and a mountainous atmosphere. It is an important center of services, ideal for resting and recovering from effort. The pilgrim will find Reinosa offering a complete range of accommodation and restaurants, as well as the opportunity to enjoy local cuisine, which highlights mountain products and sweets.
