Stage Description

Asturian coastal stage of about 30 km. The route leaves Llanes and runs along coastal paths bordering spectacular beaches such as Toró and Gulpiyuri (inland beach, Natural Monument). The landscape combines cliffs, cattle meadows and traditional villages with Asturian hórreos. Ribadesella, on the banks of the river Sella, is famous for its cave paintings in the cave of Tito Bustillo (UNESCO World Heritage) and for celebrating every August the International Descent of the Sella in canoe.
The Llanes to Ribadesella stage is a 30 km journey that continues along the eastern coast of Asturias. The route starts in Llanes (10 m) and follows an undulating profile with a gentle overall ascent to Ribadesella (10 m). The route passes through a beautiful landscape, with charming villages and wild beaches. It's a pleasant walk that allows you to enjoy the scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. The arrival at Ribadesella, a marine village at the mouth of the Sella River, is a picturesque finale. This stage combines gentle exercise with rich historical and scenic experience, a perfect balance on the North Way.
