Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This long stage has as its destination the capital of the province. The route continues through the Manchegan plain, on a flat terrain and without difficulties. The landscape remains dominated by fields of cultivation. The final stretch is becoming increasingly urban. Arrival in Albacete, a modern and dynamic city, offers the pilgrim all the necessary services for a good rest. Its cathedral, its museum, and its lively atmosphere make it a very comfortable stop.
The stage between Petrola and Albacete is a long journey across the Manchegan plain. The profile is flat but the distance makes it a challenge. The landscape remains that of infinite horizons of the tableland. The road becomes increasingly urban as one approaches the capital. Arrival in Albacete, the largest city in Castilla-La Mancha, marks the end of the stage. It's a modern and functional city with a great range of services. Its Cathedral of St John the Baptist, the Albacete Museum, and the Lodares Passage, a beautiful modernist commercial gallery, are its main attractions.
