Stage Description
Leaving the bustling Póvoa de Varzim, this stage returns the pilgrim to a more natural and tranquil environment. The route follows the coast line, alternating walks on the beach with paths between dunes and pine forests. It is a flat profile day with great landscape beauty. The path crosses the North Coast Natural Park, a protected space of great ecological value. The final stage ends in the small parish of Marinhas, near Esposende, an ideal haven for rest surrounded by nature and characterized by the hospitality typical of northern Portugal.
The stage that starts in Póvoa de Varzim is a day of contrasts. The exit from the city is urban, but soon the road meets nature at its purest state as it enters the North Coast Natural Park.
