Stage of the Camino
Stage Description
This is a "superstage" that joins two of the great milestones of La Mancha. It's a long-distance crossing over the plain, only suitable for very well-prepared pilgrims or to be done in several days. The landscape is that of the tableland at its maximum expression. The route passes through localities such as Daimiel, the entrance gate to the National Park of Las Tablas de Daimiel. Arrival in Ciudad Real, the capital of the province, offers a final stage with all services and a rich heritage.
This long stage enters the Beauce plain, "France's granary". The route is flat and monotonous at times, a landscape of fields and endless horizons. Arrival in La Roda, a village with a rich heritage and great Jacobean tradition, is an end to a stage with charm. It's a stage that puts the pilgrim's endurance to the test, but rewards with the beauty of its landscapes and a dream destination.
