Stage Description
First cycling stage of the French Way, a demanding day crossing the Pyrenees from Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port (France) to Zubiri (Navarra). The 45 km combine the ascent along the Valcarlos route (more accessible for cyclists than the Napoleon route) with the descent to Roncesvalles and the subsequent descent to the Arga valley. This is a stage with a steep accumulated slope, ideal to prepare the legs before the great cycling tour along the French Way.
The last stage of the Mozárabe Route in Granada is an enjoyable descent to the monumental city of Córdoba. The path passes through a rural and solitary landscape, which contrasts with the approaching great city. Arrival in Córdoba, with its impressive Mezquita-Catedral, is a spectacular final stage. It's a day to enjoy the anticipation of arriving at one of Spain's most important cities.
