Stage Description
A stage through the Périgord Vert (northern Dordogne), a land of grazing meadows, oak woods and medieval villages. The roughly 45 km link Thiviers (the foie gras capital) with Sorges, regarded as the 'capital of the Périgord black truffle' (tuber melanosporum), with its Maison de la Truffe offering guided visits to the truffle farms and to the winter markets.
