Discover Calatayud

Calatayud is the principal city of western Aragon and a major stop on the Camino de Levante. Its heritage is exceptional, highlighting its Mudéjar art ensemble, with the towers of the Colegiata of St Mary and the church of St Andrew. The Jewish quarter and the remains of its Islamic castle are among its attractions. The city, birthplace of poet Marcial, was an important Roman enclave (Bílbilis).
