The Town

Discover Colombres

Colombres is an Asturian village that surprises the pilgrim of the North Way with its spectacular Indian architecture. The locality, capital of the Ribadedeva council, was the destination of many emigrants who made their fortune in America, who built impressive palaces and colonial-style houses and eclectic ones. The ensemble, declared a Cultural Heritage Site, has its greatest exponent in La Quinta Guadalupe, seat of the Archive of Indians. For the walker, it is an unique cultural stop, an outdoor museum that tells stories of emigration and success. It is the last great Asturian nucleus before entering Cantabria.
