Discover Lucena

Lucena, known as "The Pearl of Sefarad", was one of the most important Jewish cities in Al-Andalus. Today, it is a dynamic city at the heart of Andalusia and a key stop on the Mozarabic Way. Its rich Baroque heritage is evident in the sumptuous Sanctuary of San Mateo church and its numerous temples. The Castle of Moral, an ancient palace and residence of the lords of Lucena, is another of its major attractions. The city, with a significant furniture industry and industrial chill, offers a full range of services for pilgrims, an animated atmosphere, and a rich gastronomy. It is a perfect cultural and functional stop to rest and explore the history of Subbética Cordobesa.
