Tembleque

Tembleque is an unforgettable stop on the Southeastern Way thanks to its extraordinary Main Square. This square, of a quadrangular plan and with immaculate white walls, is a masterpiece of 17th-century popular baroque architecture. Its two-level wooden galleries, painted green and adorned with the coats of arms of the Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, create an unique scenic space that served as both a comedy corral and bullring.
