Stage Description

This stage enters the province of Albacete, on a terrain of gentle undulations. The landscape is a mix of vineyards and cereal fields, typical of the transition between the east and the plateau. It's a day of great beauty and solitude. The arrival at Montealegre del Castillo, a town dominated by its imposing rocky castle, offers a monumental final stage with spectacular views.
The stage between Yecla and Montealegre del Castillo is a journey that takes the pilgrim from the Region of Murcia to the province of Albacete. The profile is a gentle but continuous ascent towards the plateau. The landscape is a mix of vineyards and fields of grain. Arrival at Montealegre del Castillo is impressive. The town is dominated by its spectacular medieval castle, which rises above a rocky outcrop. It's one of the region's most beautiful strongholds. The town, with white houses, stretches at the feet of the castle. It's a monumental end to the stage and a perfect place to enjoy history and landscape.
