The Town

Discover Arévalo

Arévalo is one of the most monumental cities in Avila province and a main focus of Mudéjar art in Castile and León. For pilgrims on the Southeastern Way, it's a first-class cultural stop. Its old town, with the Plaza de la Villa and its arcades, is of exceptional beauty. The city has two castles and an endless number of Mudéjar churches, such as San Martin or Santa Maria la Real. It's also famous for its cuisine, especially roasted suckling pig known as "tostón". With all services available, Arévalo is a stage to immerse oneself in medieval Castile's history, art, and flavors.
