Camasobres to Pesagno

This is the queen stage of the Castellano Lebaniego Way, a high mountain day that crosses the Cantabrian Mountains. The route ascends to the Piedrasluengas Pass, over 1,300 meters above sea level, marking the border between Palencia and Cantabria. The views from the pass are spectacular. After summiting, it begins a long and pronounced descent into Liébana Valley. It's an extremely hard yet beautiful stage that requires excellent preparation. The destination, Pesaguero, is a small Cantabrian town offering well-deserved rest in a beautiful environment.
