The destination is Boñar, a mountain village famous for its "negrillos" (flaky pastry sweets) and natural surroundings.
The stage that connects Cistierna with Boñar is a mountain stage that enters the pilgrim into the Central Leonese Mountains. The profile is demanding, a continuous "stretcher" that traverses a beautiful landscape. The route runs along forest paths and mountain trails, through beech and oak forests, and high-altitude meadows. It's an episode to enjoy nature in its purest form and solitude. You pass by several small villages that preserve the traditional architecture of the area. Arrival at Boñar, an important mountain village, is the end of the stage. Boñar is famous for its "negrillos", a typical sweet, and for its natural surroundings, ideal for hiking and fishing. The village has all the services a pilgrim might need and a very welcoming atmosphere.
