Stage Description
This is a short and gentle stage that runs through Alcarria. The landscape is a sea of olive groves and fields of grain. It's a day to enjoy the tranquility of the countryside. The arrival in Fuentenovilla, a small village on top of a hill, offers spectacular views and a final stage with a strong Castilian village flavor.
The stage between Mondéjar and Fuentenovilla is a short and pleasant journey that enters the heart of the Alcarria. The profile is undulating but without great difficulties. The landscape is dominated by cereal fields and olive groves. The path runs on dirt tracks in an environment of great tranquility. Arrival at Fuentenovilla is the day's reward. This small town, located on top of a hill, offers spectacular panoramic views of the region. Its picota, a stone column that symbolized the jurisdiction of the village, is one of its most notable monuments. It is a perfect final stage to enjoy the peace and authenticity of Alcarria's villages.
