Stage of the Camino

Stage Description

This stage enters the beautiful valley of Chevreuse, an oasis of nature at the gates of Paris. The route is of great beauty, with a wavy profile and a landscape of forests, hills and valleys. It's a journey to enjoy nature and the tranquility of the road. Arrival in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse, a charming village at the heart of the valley, is an end to stage in a privileged setting. This stage rewards with spectacular landscapes.
The Massy to Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse stage is a 22 km journey that introduces the pilgrim into the Regional Natural Park of the Upper Chevreuse Valley, a green lung southwest of Paris. The route starts in Massy (155 m) and enters a landscape that changes radically, leaving behind urban surroundings to immerse oneself in forests and valleys. The profile of the stage is undulating, with continuous ups and downs that, although not extreme, require constant effort. The route traverses a beautiful landscape, with castles, farms, and charming villages. It's a walk that allows one to enjoy nature and the tranquility of the surroundings. Arrival in Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse (75 m), a picturesque village at the heart of the valley, is a very pleasant final stage. Its heritage, including the church of Saint-Rémy and the nearby Castle of la Madeleine, and its bohemian atmosphere, make it a very special stop. It's an ideal stage that combines gentle exercise with rich landscape and cultural experiences, a perfect balance in the Via Turonensis.
