Stage Description

The last stage. Emotion is the protagonist of this journey. The path crosses the last forests before arriving at Monte do Gozo, from where you see the cathedral of Santiago for the first time. The entry into the city, the arrival at the Plaza del Obradoiro and the hug to the Apostle are the end of a long adventure. It's a journey to savor each step, for joy and reflection. The end of the Camino, the beginning of a new stage.
The last stage of the Camino Francés is a 20km journey that ends in Santiago de Compostela. The path starts at O Pedrouzo (290m) and follows a mostly flat profile with a gentle descent towards Santiago (260m). The route passes through the last forests before reaching Mount do Gozo, where the cathedral of Santiago is seen for the first time. The entry into the city, arrival at Plaza del Obradoiro, and embracing the Apostle are the end of a long adventure. It's a journey to savor every step, for joy and reflection.
